Next Draft
Next Draft Series is a program which supports playwrights whose work is ready for a more rigorous development process. Playwrights are selected from previous Fresh Draft Series plays. The program provides an AEA, 15- or 29-Hour Development Reading fully produced by LPC. The final presentation is invitation only.
We are in the process of choosing our Next Drafts series of rehearsed readings. We will be doing 3 this season. Follow us on our socials for more information.

La Dureza explores a day in the lives of the delivery cyclists who make our city run. Created in solidarity with Los Deliveristas Unidos (Worker’s Justice Project) and their courageous efforts to organize for fair wages, workplace safety, and human dignity, this piece serves as a powerful testament to the resilience and strength of workers in our city, shedding light on their struggles, and celebrating their triumphs.

A one-woman show set during a baby shower in Caguas, Puerto Rico. When 17-year-old Andrea returns to her fractured family, secrets unravel, and long-buried tensions explode. Through humor, heartbreak, and lyrical storytelling, the play explores cycles of trauma, love, and the painful push-and-pull between staying and leaving. A bold portrait of womanhood, survival, and the messy beauty of Puerto Rican life.
