LEGACY PROJECT
LPC would not be where it is without standing on the shoulders on the Playwrights who paved the way for us whom we have adopted as our Mentors. Since the beginning we have leaned on the expertise and wisdom of our Mentors. We have hired them to guide and nurture our early career members in the Intensive Mentorship program. This coming season we are proud to introduce the Legacy Project, a program consisting of two events: our first Mentors Retreat, for Mentors to take a break from the city and work on their upcoming projects and our first production by one of our mentors.

On a warm summer night in Washington Heights, four generations unexpectedly find themselves at a domino table, each with something to prove. In a world pulling them apart, will the game be their bridge—or their breaking point?
Domino Effect offers a poignant exploration of identity, resilience, and connection. Set throughout one evening in Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights, a game of dominoes becomes the unexpected bridge between generations, delving into themes of family, authenticity, and the intrinsic need to forge new connections across diverse, queer generations of immigrants, who realize that no matter how different they are, they all want the same thing: to give and receive love.
